Steven McCrea Robertson

He was a 1989 graduate of Cranbrook Academy, Bloomfield Hills, MI and a graduate of Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. Steve's interests and abilities were broad and varied: athletic in both team and individual sports; music and accomplished percussionist; photography; avid reader of classics, biographies, philosophy, economics, politics and history; a hiker, biker and camper; accomplished at propagating plumeria trees; good cook; crazy dancer; animal lover; seeker of wisdom through spirituality and study. He loved kids, always interested in their activities and especially, their education. "Uncle Stever" was a favorite of many. He was most proud of his "little brother" of 11 years, Andrew O'Brien of Bradenton, from the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. His own education was broad and diverse. He loved school and being a student. He never stopped learning. His volunteer work included years on the City of Bradenton Beach Scenic WAVES committee, focusing on mass transit at the County level and dune protection projects. His professional career ran the gamut from corporate at Volkswagen in Auburn Hills, MI., U.S. Homes in Florida, researching chemical product regulations for world-wide fertilizer markets, establishing small businesses and start-up/managing a home health care company. He leaves behind 2 brothers, P. Corwin Robertson, III and Mitchell M. Robertson (Debbie), three nephews, one niece and 15 cousins. He is also survived by his step brothers and sisters, Anita Mitton, Lou Leitao (Kathy), Toni Leitao (Lorraine Yu), Gerry Leitao ( Elizabeth), Len Dillon (Pamela), Lyndsey Mauro and Alexandra Ayaub (Michael).
