Farmington Hills - Gregory W. Anderson, age 71 of Farmington Hills, passed away April 30th, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Shannon for 37 years. Loving father of Ryan and Andrew (Alexandra). Cherished son of Betty (Don) Aschom and the late Walter Anderson (Billie). Dear brother of Elizabeth (Mark) Thompson. Nephew of Bill Gregory and Shirley Schwartz. Due to current circumstances, a celebration of Greg's life will be planned for a future date. Memorial contributions in his name are appreciated to The Rainbow Connection. Greg and I were very good friends and football team mates in highschool. I just found out that he passed away. He stood up with me at my wedding, was at my wife's, and both my parents funerals. I have shed a tear and also smile whenever I think of him. The world has lost another great person and we are lesser for that.

Greg was more than a cousin to me, he was a hero of mine. He spent a lifetime busting the bad guys. I remember people's faces lighting up when I told them I was related to Greg as he was so well liked and respected. My deepest condolences to Sharon. Ryan, and Andrew. You were blessed to have him as a husband and father.

i am so sad and sorry for you and your families loss. Greg was a very dear friend many, many years ago. Greg was a roommate to my first husband in the early 70s and was also in our wedding. He quickly became one of the family. Then life went in different directions for all of us and we lost touch. He certainly lived life at its fullest! I think I am going to dig out old pictures for some memories. Bless you
