Willie Pino, age 97, a native and lifelong resident of Fresno, CA, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, following an extended illness. Willie was born to Manuel and Eloisa Pino in Fresno, where he grew up and received his high school education attending Edison High School. During World War II he served in the United States Army Air Corps. Following his military service, he went to work for Southern Pacific Railroad, which he retired from after many years of service. Willie was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars and was a member of the Masons. In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his sisters, Isabel Maciel, Aurora Ortiz, Connie Vallejo, and Pauline Quintero; and brother, Jess Pino. He is survived by his brothers, Ernie Pino and his wife Ann of Fresno, and Manuel Pino of Hayward, CA; and by his sister, Sally Rios of Fresno. He is the beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park, Fresno, CA, on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to the Veterans Administration Medical Center of Fresno.
