Mary Kathryn Davis, 95, of rural Kirklin, died June 27, 2021 at Witham Hospital, Lebanon. She was born at home on May 3, 1926 in Kirklin to Clifford M. and Mary Edith (Gaddis) Ward. She married Jimmie Joe Davis on Nov. 25, 1944 in Kirklin, and he preceded her in death on July 16, 2002.

Mary K. was a 1944 graduate of Kirklin High School and was a lifelong Clinton County resident. She was a homemaker and farmwife. She was a member of the Kirklin Assembly of God, a 75-year member of the Kirklin OES, PM Home Ec. Club and the last charter member of the Jolly Dozen Euchre Club. Mrs. Davis was an avid reader and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. She was a gospel hymn writer, played the piano, made many handmade quilts, loved handcrafting and made many gifts and ornaments.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Stan) Crum of West Lafayette; two sons, Larry (Rebecca) Davis of rural Kirklin and Eric (Gayla) Davis of rural Kirklin; six grandchildren, Renae (Craig) Kollen, Stacy (Jeremy) Shell, Shelly (Shawn) Hester, Amanda (Justin) Trent, Abigail (Mike) Montgomery and Lindsay Davis; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Pearson in 2001; grandson, Matthew Davis in 2014; two brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pastor Jeremy Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Kirklin Public Library or the Kirklin Assembly of God, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
