James Caldwell Johnson "Jim"

Gadsden - Jim passed away from this earth to be with his heavenly father on April 15, 2021 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral Service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bruce Word officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 4 until 6 p.m.

Jim graduated from Albertville High School and was also a graduate of the University of Auburn. He spent a lifetime working in banking and retired from BB&T. He also retired from O'Reilly's where he always had a daily smile.

He was preceded in death by his father, James W "Bill" Johnson; grandmother, Bessie Johnson; J Hubert Linton and wife Beulah of Cullman.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Elders Johnson; loving companion his and his wifes pet, Haley; mother, Mary Ella Johnson; cousins, J.R. Linton of Warrior, Judy B. Leipert of Pinson; Bill (Elisabeth) Linton of Greenville, SC; Mary Elaine (Richie) Wilson of Birmingham; daughter, Christina Johnson (Carter) Long and grandson of NC; mother in law, Betty Sue Owen; brother in law, Cecil (Delyne) Elders and other loving cousins and many friends.

Special thanks to Gadsden Regional and UAB Birmingham for taking care of him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
