Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Ashley Nicole Anderson, 35, who was fatally injured in a car accident in Birmingham, on Saturday, July 16, 2016. The Rev. Randall Crotts and Cody Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow at Forrest Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home & Cemetery is in charge of the services.
Ashley graduated from Glencoe High School in 2000 and University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2006. She has been employed by EUS (Environmental United Service) for nine years. Ashley loved working with youth and children. She was an active member of the RMH along with being a mentor for children with autism. She had a passion for music, art and writing. She was a true original soul.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael D. Anderson; uncle, Donald Anderson; grandmothers, Janice Langston and Sue Anderson; and grandfather, Edward G. Anderson.
She is survived by her mother, Selina L. Anderson; sisters, Brittany (Michael) Finney, Christen (Jason) Bristol; nephew, Malaki Finney; aunts, Debby (Larry) Moon, Kay (Dennis) Robinson and Becky Anderson; cousins, Melissa (Nicky) Barnard, Cody (Melissa) Robinson, Don (Alaina) Anderson and Donna (Richard) Parrish.
Pallbearers will be Michael Finney, Jason Bristol, Cody Robinson, Nicky Barnard, Jesse Womack and Colin Browning. Honorary pallbearers will be Malaki Finney, Alan McAlister, Dillon Jones and Austin Beard.
Special thanks to the cities of Vestavia, Moody and Southside. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Brain Cancer Society
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
