Mark Edwin Roden

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral home for Mark Edwin Roden, 57, who passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2017. The Rev. Donald Douthit will officiate. Burial will be at New Bethel Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home and Cemetery is in charge of services.
Mark was a loving husband and son. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. He was a hard worker. He was a friend to many and loved traveling with them. He was a Christian. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter Edmond and Pauline Roden and John and Myrtle Puckett.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Roden; parents, Edd and Lucille Roden; brothers, Tim Roden and Roger Roden; nieces and nephews, Cortney Roden, Grace Roden and Matthew Roden; stepchildren, Spencer Elrod and Trent Elrod; grandchildren, Heather Elrod and Dulcinea Elrod.
Pallbearers will be Brian St. John, Elvis Rhodes, Mike Hodge, Greg Turner, Tim Roden and Roger Roden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lane Walden and Goodyear co-workers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Webster's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
