Alfair Curtis passed away September 25, 2018, at Shands UF Hospital, a lifetime resident of Alachua, FL she was a graduate of ACT High School. Ms. Curtis was an environmental Service Tech at AL Mebane High school and retied from GE. She was a member of St. Luke AME Church where she served as pianist. She also attended Antioch Baptist Church, and Church Of God By Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents David & Mattie (Ford) Curtis, brother, William J. Curtis, Sister Alice M Curtis Smith, daughter Jacquelyn Davis, granddaughter Mondricia Lillie. Her memory will live on in the hearts of Jackerleen Hall, (William) Alachua, FL. Vickie Hill, & Barbara J. Lee both of Gainesville, FL, 12 grandchildren, and numerous Great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Ms. Curtis will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Luke AME Church Alachua, FL. Rev M. Jere James , Pastor, Elder John P. Washington, Sr. Officiating, Elder Jackie Reynolds, Sr. Presiding. Interment will follow in Curtis Hall Cemetery under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home 18 N.W. 8th Ave Gainesville, FL. Visitation Friday Chestnut Memorial Chapel, and on Saturday, one hour before the service. Family members are asked to meet at the church at10:30 AM.
