William Matthew Ford, Sr.
Jacksonville - Age 78, a Resident of Jacksonville, FL and Native of Gainesville, Son of the late Lee & Lillie Bell Ford & retired Concrete Finisher, peacefully left us on January 4, 2021 during a brief stay at Community Hospice (of Jacksonville, FL).
Graveside Services will be held 10:30AM Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the Rutledge Community Cemetery (Gainesville, FL) with Reverend Jerome Lennon delivering the Eulogy. Mr. Ford will be viewed at the Funeral Home on Friday 2:00-7:00PM – At the Cemetery on Saturday 30 Minutes prior to the Service – And with the Processional. The Procession will form at First Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church (115 NW 55th Street, Gainesville, FL) at 9:45AM.
Those left to cherish his memory are his Wife – Tayka Chappell Ford; Children – Tony Williams, Cathy Ford, Linda Ford Early (& Freddie), William Ford Jr., Erica Donaldson, Dontae Hall, Chantal Chappell, Veronica Chappell, William Chappell (& Danielle), Will Ford and Thomas Ford; Sisters -Alberta Jones, Fannie Ford, Hailey Johnson, Sally Danzy, Mary Wheeler (& Leon), Alvera Welch (& Ernest), Cheryl Welch and Teresa Hill; Brother – Handy Ford (Thomas Ford, Sandy Ford, Kelly Ford, Roosevelt Ford and Michael Ford Sr. - Deceased); Sister-In-Law – Sherry Ford; Nieces, Nephews, Cousins & Friends.
