LAZZARO, JOAN M.
July 1, 1932-Aug 5, 2018
Joan passed peacefully at home on Aug 5th following a tough battle with cancer. She is survived by Tom, her loving husband of 65 years, her seven children who she referred to as the 'Magnificent 7' and 4 grandchildren. Born in Mobile, AL she lived all over as a Coast Guard brat, to include two years in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. After college she became a 'Stewardess' with Pan Am for two years and lived in NY while flying primarily to South America. She married the love of her life on Aug 29th, 1953. Upon his graduation from U of Florida they moved to S Florida and raised seven children over a 37 year timeframe. Once Tom retired they relocated to Melrose, FL where they have lived in retirement for the last 22 years.
A memorial service will be held at St. Williams Catholic Church in Keystone Heights on Friday at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in honor of Mrs. Joan Lazzaro to Feherty's Troops First Foundation at 4803 Chief Chris Kyle Ct I, Riverdale, MD 20737.

Phyllis Ratz attended the funeral and said it was one of the most beautiful and loving funerals she has ever attended in her 84 years. The flowers were overwhelmingly beautiful and abundant. It is obvious she is well loved.
