Robert Troy Phillips Obituary
Mr. Robert Troy Phillips, age 47, of Gainesville passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at his residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Phil Carpenter officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 31, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Phillips was born on April 23, 1969, in Gainesville, Ga., to Kenneth Edwin Phillips and the late Betty Jean Elliott Webb. He worked for the Choice Facilities as a dispatcher and was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Gainesville Masonic Lodge No. 219. He served in the United States Navy Seabees, and also served in the Iraq War. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Webb; grandfather, Joe Elliott; grandmother, Esta Russell; step-grandfathers, James Russell and Boyd Parr.

He is survived by his daughter, Meghan Phillips of Waynesboro, Ga.; father, Ken Phillips of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Darrin and Becky Phillips of Gainesville; nieces, Natalie and Emma Phillips; Nephew, Colton Phillips (all of Gainesville); grandson, Bentley Phillips of Waynesboro, Ga.; grandmother, Nell Parr of Gainesville; aunts, Kay Phillips, Sandra Mullin, Susan Coley and Mycki Little of Gainesville; stepfather, James ""Tex"" Webb of Gainesville; stepbrothers, Tony Webb of Gainesville and Jeff Webb of Gainesville; and a host of cousins.

There will be a celebration of life at Gainesville Masonic Lodge following the service on Monday.
