Ralph Mabe Obituary
He was born on Jan. 30, 1938, in Carroll County, to the late Walter Carl and Hathel Delp Mabe.
Survivors include his wife, JoEllen Lundy Mabe of Galax; children and spouses, Becky and Scott Thompson of Galax, Mary and Edward Henley of Hillsville, Dwayne and Denise Mabe of Galax, Debbie and Gary Hamm of Longs, S.C., and Mitch and Trina Crouse of Hillsville; brother-in-law and spouse, Don and Linda Lundy of Modesto, Calif.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Jan. 11, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Felts Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Combs officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the Mabe family requests that donations be made to a charity of the donors choice. In addition, the family requests no food contributions.

He was one of the funniest people I knew. He loved his family and friends and was always ready to help anyone that needed it. I am sorry he is gone. Joellen and Becky my heart breaks over your loss; Ralph was one of the good guys.

Ralph was a good man. He was a kind and devoted husband to my sister, Jo Ellen. Ralph was a man of strong character and poured his heart and soul into the land he tended. We loved him but more importantly we respected him. It was an honor to have known Ralph and may he rest in peace.
