George Tadao Morikawa, born in 1921 in Bakersfield, California, passed away peacefully earlier this month at the age of 99 in Whittier, California. He was predeceased by his wife Sadako in 1997 and is survived by his brother Frank Morikawa (last of his five
siblings), as well as nieces and nephews. In his youth he had a passion for fast cars and racing which continued through his later
years. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran and served in the 100th Infantry Battalion of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team from 1944 to 1946. Private family services will be held at a later date.
