"Our Mother Georgia Ascended to Heaven into the Arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Georgia Mae Meeks, age 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the White Oak Manor in York, South Carolina.

Miracles happen and Lives are changed when a Mom prays for her children. Georgia was a prayer warrior. She was diligent in her Prayers to her Lord about her children, her family, her Church, her friends, her Nation and its leaders. Just about anything you can imagine that needed a Prayer said, Georgia Prayed for it. And for herself too as she had broad shoulders to carry the burdens of others to Jesus for them. And Jesus lightened her load by answering her Prayers.

Georgia was a Proud Lady who took care of herself up until the day she went to her Heavenly home to meet Jesus face to face.... What a glow she now must have, as she looks her best. Georgia was well prepared because she knew her Bible. She taught Sunday School for 39 years and there's no telling how many lives were changed and strengthened through her teachings.

Selfishly, her family and friends will miss Georgia, but they understand she wouldn't want to come back because she's where she's always wanted to be. And she has laid the path for her children and friends to follow.

Those who are left behind to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy are her daughter: Carolyn Carswell; four sons and daughters in law: Roger Dale and Catherine Meeks of Clover, South Carolina; Billy James and Diane Meeks of Gastonia, North Carolina, Lange and Debbie Meeks of Clover, South Carolina, Skipper and Nancy Meeks of Clover, South Carolina; Son in law: Bill Saunders (husband of Anita) Georgia was the daughter of the late William Tullock and Tessie Johnson Tullock. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Lange Meeks Sr. along with two daughters, Patricia Meeks and Anita Saunders.

Graveside service and Inurnment will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 in the Garden of Mark at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, North Carolina.
