Margie Blanton Obituary
KINGS MOUNTAIN - Margie Mae Blanton, 80, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on September 11, 2018 at her daughter's home in Kings Mountain.

Born in Cleveland County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Nicodemus Bolin and Mattie Mae Turner Bolin and was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, S.A. "Red" Blanton and two brothers, Coy and Charles Bolin. Margie was a member of Bright Light Baptist Church in Bessemer City. She spent many years as a beautician and has served countless clients. Margie enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning her own vegetables. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughter: Dianne Reese and husband, Wayne, Kings Mountain; son: Don Blanton and wife Melissa, Kings Mountain; brothers: Hermon Bolin and girlfriend, Brenda, Huntersville, Lawrence Bolin and wife Juanita, Kings Mountain, Richard Bolin and wife Sheila, Kings Mountain, Erskhine Bolin and wife Ann, Kings Mountain, Marvin Bolin and girlfriend Kathy, Blacksburg, and Kenny Bolin and wife Tina, Kings Mountain; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at Bright Light Baptist Church, Bessemer City, with Brother Ronnie Pressley officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain.

Interment will be at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.

Memorials may be made to Bright Light Baptist Church, 112 White Jenkins Rd. Bessemer City, 28016 or Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr. Shelby, NC 28150.
