Mack Stewart Obituary
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Clover A.R.P. Church with the Rev. Evan English officiating.
Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, Clover, S.C.
Mr. Stewart was born Jan. 30, 1922, in Clover, S.C., to the late Mack Carroll and Luna Mae Wilson Stewart. He was an Army Veteran of World War II serving in the 84th Infantry Division, was a member of the Clover Volunteer Fire Department for 56 years and a member of the Clover A.R.P. Church. Mack was an officer with the Clover Police Department and the York County Sheriff's Department for many years. He retired from Westinghouse Electric.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd, Lacy, Grier "Pete" Stewart and a sister, Annie Lee Ballard.
Survivors are his wife of 69 years Nell Shirley Stewart of the home, daughter & son-in-law Shirley S. & Jimmy Byrum of Clover, SC; sons Mack C. Stew-art, Jr. of Charlotte, NC and Ed L. Stewart of Clover, SC; grandchildren Karen B. Boyters, Frank Byrum, and Heather Esch; and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clover A.R.P. Church Building Fund, 127 Kings Mountain Street, Clover, SC 29710.
