OBITUARY ANNETTE TAKEFMAN Peacefully on Sunday, March 16, at Jewish General Hospital with loving family and friends by her side. Devoted wife of recently departed Joseph Takefman for 60 years. Daughter of the late Herman and Jenny Tower. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Earl and Mona-Lee (Friend), Mitchell and Lisa (Maislin) and Janet and Alan Allnutt. She will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Jay and fiancee Jennie Schwartzman, Robert, Keri, Emily and Katie Takefman and Erica Allnutt. Dear sister-in-law of Nettie and the late Isadore Steinman, the late Herschel and the late Jean Takefman, and Froma and Norman Shulman. Sorely missed by her best friend, Anita Dorfman and by Carl Ellner, who she loved like a son. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and close friends. The family wishes to thank Annette's caregivers: Angelic Judy, Marie-Vic and Lena, for their loving care and attention; Tina Dorfman, for her daily visits and oncologist extraordinaire Dr. David Melnychuk. Funeral from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Tuesday, March 18 at 3 p.m. Burial at the Chevra Kadisha B'nai Jacob Section, Back River Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Berri St. Shiva at her daughter's house. In lieu of flowers donations to the "Annette and Joseph Takefman Memorial Fund" c/o the Jewish General Hospital (514)340-8251 would be greatly appreciated.
