KORENBERG, Sarah (nee Mendelson) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a very special lady, our wonderful mother, Sarah Korenberg, on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at the age of ninety-four, at the Jewish General Hospital. She is survived by her beloved husband of seventy years, Dr. Morton Korenberg. A devoted and loving mother and mother-in-law of Drs. Lela Korenberg and Malcolm Macfarlane, Dr. Michael Korenberg and special friend, June Fransblow, and Marion and Hillel David. Cherished grandmother of Wendy and Ian Sewell, David Macfarlane, Karen Macfarlane, Robert David, and Daniel and Rosie David, and great-grandmother of Makayla Sewell. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Hyman and the late Gertrude Mendelson, Edward and Madeline Mendelson, Claire and Milton Friefeld, and Dr. Jack and Lola Mendelson. Sister-in-law of the late Dr. Lyon Korenberg, the late Clara Katz and the late Sol Korenberg. We deeply appreciate the devotion of Liway, Cora, Amiliana and Rosemar. Funeral service took place from Paperman & Sons on Wednesday, July 22. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
