Dear Phyllis and family
Hilton and I were very saddened to learn of George's passing.
When we decided to leave Toronto in 1965, move to Brantford and become part of the TAS industry, you and George were so very welcoming to us.
I remember George was President the year our son Scott was born, we travelled to the convention on the train, as I was expecting him in July; and you both shared in our joy. I remember you telling me about your family, in particular, your daughter Ellie whose name I shared.
You have graciously invited us into your home and made us feel most comfortable.
George was a true gentleman; you were a very gracious couple. I know he will be missed very much by all who knew him.
Our sincere sympathy to you and the family.
We will always remember the good times shared.
I regret I am late in sending this; we have been travelling since the beginning of June, throughout the Yukon and NWT; and have just now been in a campground where we have access to the internet.
Sincerely,
Eleanor and Hilton Lyons

Dear Leebosh Family,
Alan and I were terribly upset to learn first of George's illness and then of his death. I have told many people the story of visiting Montreal in 2006, and contacting George, who was a cousin's cousin, before we went. How warm and loving George and Phyllis were to these people from Texas that they never even knew before, having us over, introducing us to your family and showing us around your beautiful city. What a lovely man he was. I am terribly sad for us and for your entire family.

George, it was a pleasure meeting you in Halifax in 2003 and witnessing the honour bestowed to you by your Telephone Answering service industry peers. The association you helped create is in good hands today, so rest easy and God speed. Thank you for all your many contributions.

Dear Phyllis
I am Bernice Vejans sister in San Antonio. We had the privilege of meeting George and Dorith when our mutual uncle (Herman Brenner) died. Altho the circumstances were not very pleasant, my sisters and I were so very happy to become acquainted with George and Dorith and share stories with them. I am so very sorry to hear of George's death (via my niece Roslyn) and wanted to convey condolences to you and your family from my sister Leah Maze and me. If you are in touch with Dorith, please send her our greetings. Having just lost our sister, we understand your sorrow.
Sincerely, Fannie Rae Shapiro

Dear Phyllis,
It is difficult to believe that George is no more by your side. He was such a devoted family man and vibrant community leader.
Out thoughts are with you and your family at this very difficult time.

Dear Bernie,
A voice from the past. I read of your brother's passing and I want to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I had met George in Ottawa - I knew Sylvia and Jack well.
