ASSH, Maurice. In his eighty-seventh year, on Monday, October 5, 2009, with his family by his side. Predeceased by his loving wife Betty Sternthal and by his adored son Allan. Beloved and caring father of Donna Assh and father-in-law of Rodney Burgar of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Cherished and fun-loving Zadie of Benjamin and Matthew Burgar. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Natalie and the late Jack Rosenhek, Edith Kramer and the late Jacob Assh, Madelaine and the late Edward Assh, Iona and the late Saul Assh, and brother-in-law of Naomi Sternthal and A. Wali, and Hyman Sternthal. Sadly mourned by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Friend of Lydia Kammerer. Shiva at 6800 Macdonald Ave. #902, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. daily. Due to the festival of Succoth, shiva commences on Sunday evening, October 11.
