Flora Alpert

ALPERT, Flora (nee Mandelcorn) Just into her eighty-fourth year of living life to the fullest. She loved life, everyone around her, and experiencing everything the world had to offer: theatre, travelling, sports, and friendships. She made her own good luck, and turned every challenge into an opportunity which she completely exploited. Flora was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Alpert. She will be very sadly missed by her children Gerald & Mary Jean (Egglefield) Klempner and Barbara & Stanley Plotnick, her grandson Oren Klempner, and her loved, and loving extended family: Nadia, Mort, Samantha & David Alpert; Laurie (Plotnick), Max, Josh & Erin Reim; Bonnie (Zelman), Philip, Samantha & Matthew Plotnick. Dear sister of the late Leonard Mandelcorn. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends, and family with whom she was very close and deeply devoted. Very special thanks to Dr Kevin Petrecca (Montreal Neurological Institute) and Dr. David Roberge (Montreal General Hospital) for extending her life, with excellent quality. To the wonderful staff, doctors, nurses and others at both the Montreal Neurological Institute and the Jewish General Hospital, for their compassionate care. To her caregivers Wendy, Ana, Cheryl, Avaline and Ophelia for the heart and soul with which they cared for her over the last difficult period. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon W. on Monday, December 21 at 12 noon. Burial at the Congregation Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Section, Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane.
