It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of our dear Dr. Woods. He was a joy to work with and was greatly missed by his patients as well as myself when he left his practice in Alexandria.
He often talked about his family. He told me about when he first started to date Mrs. Woods. He loved her so. He was so proud of his daughters and his grandchildren.
We shared many laughs to the point we had tears in our eyes. He will be sadley missed and fondly remembered.
May the family take comfort knowing that you now have a new guardian angel.

My sympathies to the Woods family. I remember Dr. Hymie Woods with such fondness, the many times he came to our house to care for us all (although, I would hide if it meant getting a needle). He was a wonderful man who was also a dear friend to my parents.

"The death of a person is a sad event. But, he will live on in memory as long as one person thinks of him". Both my Brother Joe and I express our deepest condolences. He was a true friend to Joe, and a fantastic family doctor to me and my family.

It was with a profound sense of sorrow that I read of the death of Dr. Hyman Leo Woods. He became my family’s doctor when we arrived in Canada from England in 1955 until he retired.
There are no words to describe our feelings for him. He was simply “wonderful”. He was genuine, understanding and a true “family” physician. He innately understood his patients, and cared deeply for them. The phrase tikkun olam embodies Dr. Woods.
My deepest sympathies to his family on their overwhelming loss. I believe that when we lose someone close to us they still live through us and give us strength.
Rest in Peace, Dr. Woods
