Esther Lifshitz

LIFSHITZ, Esther (nee Cohen) On Thursday, November 18, 2010. Cherished wife and soul-mate of Mac for over seventy years. Most loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Elliot and Carol Lifson, Eleanor (Ellie) and Dr. Mel Sandler. Treasured Bubby of Elissa and Neil Uditsky, Jason and Chaviva Lifson, Steven and Laura Lifson, Michael Lifson; Neil Sandler, Marcy and Marc Salzberg. Adored "Great-Bubby Esther" of Brad, Grace, and Jamie Uditsky; Noa, Josh and Zev Lifson; Maya and Max Salzberg. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Dr. Harry and Helen Cohen, the late Dolly and the late Joe Weintraub, and sister-in-law of the late Louis and the late Esther Lifshitz, the late Claire and the late Bill Goldberg, the late Yetta and the late Alec Pinsky. She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family wishes to acknowledge the exceptional care and compassion of Drs. Stuart Glaser and Lawrence Rudski. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Tifereth Jerusalem Section, de la Savane. Shiva at the Castel Royale, 5740 Cavendish, #211, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily.
