"Even when you know that someones life is coming to an end and you have a chance to prepare for the innevitable, the loss felt after a loved one has passed is virtually unconsolable." One of the best things about marrying Jessica was the family that came with her and i have become a part of. I am truly a better person for knowing Oma, her zest for life was infectious, her love for the family and friends that enriched her life was inspirational and her selflessness was an example for all to follow. I admire and respected the courage she demonstrated during her final months. She was a true warrior, a fighter till the end and i am so proud to be her "grandson". The legend of OMA Will live on as long as we remind ourselves and those we love about her life, her lessons and her legacy!
RIP OMA

These messages are truly appreciated, by her and by all of us.
She was truly one of the best people I have ever met, I am totally biased, and feel fortunate to be.
One description that came up here, and has come up repeatedly in messages I have received is Angel. She never would have given herself that credit, much as she deserved it.
A true example of so many traits that I hope to carry forward in my life; selflessness, she gave to every person around her without expectation, she never even gave it a second thought. Intelligence; her zest for knowledge never ceased to amaze me... In the last few months I coined a new term, one that made her roll her eyes every time I said it "Oma Genius". Her knowledge of history, geography, medicine, literature, language, memory of dates, events, details, unbelievable organization, vocabulary (most notably seen in extensive Scrabble games) the list goes on (& on)... Is still unbelievable to me... so much so that all I could ever respond was, there it is again, Oma Genius!
My friends all called her Oma, the warmest of titles. She knew every one of their names and faces. She came to every event we ever had, big or small, from graduations, to boxing events, to dancing at my wedding until 2am! That's Oma, in a nutshell.
She was a true example, a person to admire throughout every moment of her life. I am so lucky to be able to call her my grandmother, MY Oma.
She is missed, and will continue to be, more that she could ever have known. Whenever I am sad I try to remember that what she would have wanted most was for us to live our lives as she did, travel, smile, laugh, be positive, never dwell, always look forward, enjoy life, LIVE life...
Now that's Oma Genius.
Thank you all
Jessica

Lilian and Victor:
I was really devastated to hear about your mother's illness and her passing. It is a great personal loss to my entire family, because she has always been such an important and integral part of it -- especially in recent years.
I have known Maza since I was about 10 years old and have always loved and admired her. She was a true role model for me throughout my life -- a strong, intelligent, independent woman with a seemingly bottomless well of compassion and love for everyone, especially her family. Truly a remarkable woman!
I was never able to thank her enough for her friendship, kindness and support to my father and mother. She was always referred to as "The Angel".
I hope with all my heart that she is happily back with her Arnold now.
I send everyone in the family my deepest condolences and sympathy. I will always remember and miss Maza.
