Eva Shaffer Obituary
On Tuesday, August 16, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of David Shaffer, Michael and Miriam Shaffer. Grandmother of Chad. Survived by her loving and devoted sister, Annie, and her sisters-in-law, Nina, Pearl and Anne. Predeceased by her sister, Betty; her brothers, Louis and Moses; her sisters-in-law, Ethel, Mary, Zena, Beatrice and Mary and; her brothers-in-law, Max, Morty, Phil, Sam, Aaron, Jack and Saul. Special thanks to her wonderful caregivers and to the staff of Manoir Montefiore. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, August 18 at 10 a.m. Burial at the King Edward New Section, Back River Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Berri Street. Shiva at 5885 Cavendish Blvd., #104, daily from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., ending Sunday evening, August 21. Donations in Eva's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, (514) 255-5151.
