TARAS (Tarasofsky), Irwin. Peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2005 at the age of eighty-seven. Born in Russia on July 25, 1918. Beloved husband of the late Sheila Verbitsky. Loving father and best friend of David. Treasured Zaida of Matthew and Joel. He will be deeply missed by his partner Barbara Lefcort. Loving brother of the late Tom Taras and the late Bess Wagner. Brother-in-law of Elca Taras, Lillian Sheppard, the late Frances and the late Arthur Rawet, the late Moe Wagner, the late Irving Verbitsky. Cherished uncle of Judy and Lenny Beldick, Eileen and Herb Borsuk, Joy Wagner, Connie and Dan Taras, Howard Taras and David Outzs, David and Sherry Taras and Francine and Cory Sherman. He will be lovingly remembered by Joan Paul, his relatives and many dear friends. Many thanks to his wonderful care giver Merle. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons 3888 Jean Talon w. on Sunday November 20 at 1:45 p.m. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Cemetery, De La Savane. Shiva at his home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, 340-8251.
