On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, after a battle valiantly fought. Beloved wife of Milton for sixty-three years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Joanne and Leonard Kaizer, Sharon Friefeld, Franceen and Rick Schwartz. Cherished Grandma of Leora and Steve, Alison, Rachel, Lauren, Matthew, Aiden and Samantha. Proud great-grandmother of Jordyn. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Jack and Lola Mendelson, the late Sarah and the late Mort Korenberg, the late Hy and the late Gert Mendelson, Madeline and the late Eddie Mendelson. Sister-in-law of Bryna and the late Max Vader, the late Saul and the late Lynn Friefeld, and the late Ruth Friefeld. Claire will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends and AMICI. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Intensive Care Unit at the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, September 20, at 10:00 a.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Yehudah Section, de la Savane. Shiva at her home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., until the evening of Monday, September 24.
