Harvey KALNITSKY Obituary
After a brave battle with cancer, at the Montreal General Hospital, on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the age of sixty- seven. Son of the late Abe and the late Tamara. He leaves to mourn his beloved companion, Francine and his brother, Jerry. Harvey practiced law in Montreal for forty-two years. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, September 23 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Sons of Israel Congregation Section, Back River Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Berri St. Shiva private at his home, on Sunday after burial, and on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Montreal General Hospital Foundation, (514) 934-8230, or to Canadian Cancer Society, (514) 255-5151.

Je viens d'apprendre avec beaucoup de retard et de peine la mort de mon ami Harvey. Nous avons fait notre droit ensemble ainsi que de la politique. Il avait un bon caractère et n'avait que des amis à la faculté de droit. Une perte, surtout si jeune. R.I.P. mon Harvey

Harvey, I will never forget our daily conversations at the GA Deli, you were brilliant, funny and entertaining. I always looked forward to your visits. You will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you.

So sorry for jour loss. Lunch time will never be the same without Harvey. I miss him already. He sure was a good friend to me.
His sense of humour was unique. I love you Harvey and wishe you peace in your new dimension. Keep an eye on us will you!

I shared an office with Special K for about 15 years and he was my Father confessor.When I had things to discuss with him(good or bad) he would always listen and I would walk away feeling better than I did before.
Of course,Special K was a great joker..sarcasm being his specialty !
We had our own special language to share secrets that we shared.
I miss him already.

Harvey was a kind, gentle, witty, and brilliant man. He was my lunch customer for many years at G.A deli and his amazing one-liners had me in awe and stitches on a daily basis. I will miss him dearly. Jenny, G.A. deli
