Emil KROO Obituary
Peacefully, at home, on Sunday, September 8, 2013, in his ninety-seventh year, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Lucia (Rosa) Magien. Loving father and father-in-law of Ira and Kathryn, Theresia (Terry) and Sam Luft. Proud Zaide of Joshua and Danielle Kroo, Gavriella Kroo and fiancé Danny Semaya; Jonathon and Michelle Luft, Aliza, and Jaclyn Luft. Great-Zaide of Mia, Harlow, Sammy and Lily. Dear brother of Elizabeth Teitelbaum of Brooklyn, NY, and brother-in-law of Tusia Yablon. Special uncle of Jerry Greif and the late Myra Greif. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Many thanks to his wonderful caregivers, MJ, Elvie and Elionor. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, September 9 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Tifereth Jerusalem Section, de la Savane. Shiva at his home. Due to the advent of Yom Kippur, shiva ends Friday afternoon. Contributions in Emil's memory may be made to the MADA Community Centre, (514) 342-4969 ext.: 229.

Dear Aunt Lucia, Ira, and Terry, I just happened to "Google" Emil Kroo for some research about Furth, when I saw the notice of your dear husband and fathers passing. The book is quickly closing on that painful era of rebirth, but I can still recount the stories my dear parent told me about their special bond with "Mendy" and Lucia, a very special couple. My deepest sympathy to you Mrs. Kroo, Ira, Terri and your families. Quite a shock to me as I spoke to Mr. Kroo a week ago and expected to see him back in the office. After working for him for 13 years I will miss him, his wit and his humour.
