It is with great sadness that we announce his passing on Monday, February 24, 2014 in his ninety-second year. Husband of the late Shoshana Melnick. Father and father-in-law of Coby Melnick and Pamela Bokser, Neil and Marilyn Melnick, Robin Melnick and Jeremy Atwood. Loving "Zaidie Dave" of Samantha, Hannah, Eva, and Ben. Brother and brother- in-law of Nell and the late Syd Enkin, Esther and the late Charlie Gorber, Bess and the late Eli Katchan. "Uncle Dave" to his nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by his family, friends and colleagues. Special thanks to Felicia, Marie, and Jennifer, as well as the staff of 4 South at Maimonides Geriatric Centre. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, February 26, at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Chevra Kadisha B'nai Jacob Section, Back River Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Berri Street. Shiva at the Ruby Foo's Hotel, room 212, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., from Wednesday evening through Monday evening.
