WAINBERG, Fay (nee Haffner). At home, on Saturday, March 25, 2006. Beloved wife of the late Abe Wainberg. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Mark and Susan, Lawrence and Paula. Cherished grandmother of Zev and Cara, Jonathan; and Gregory. Loving great-grandmother of Jake. Dear sister of Toby Granich, Lily Signer, the late Sam Haffner, the late Frances Haffner. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Heartfelt thanks to her doctors and to her caregivers at the Waldorf for their devotion and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Monday, March 27 at 10:30 a.m. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 6506 Fern Rd., C.S.L. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, 340-8251.

Dear Mark and Family,

On behalf of all your friends and colleagues at the AIDS 2006 Toronto Local Host and the XVI International AIDS Conference, I want to express my personal condolences on the passing of your dear Mom.

Mark, you and your family have been devoted, loving and supportive to your Mom. She has been very fortunate to have such a supportive and caring son and family through these later years of life.

At these times, I know words are few to console such loss. May your fond memories of your Mom and your life with her help to console you at this time and remind you of her long, rich life blessed by her good family.
