It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Harold B. Gordon on Saturday, November 29, 2014. Beloved father of Michael and Ariella and the late Joel. Adored Sabba and Sabba Rabba. Cherished brother of the late Jack. He will be greatly missed by his nephews, niece, cousins, friends and Lola. Funeral took place on Sunday, November 30, 2014. Shiva from Tuesday through Friday afternoon at the home of Rabbi Glustein, 6232 de Vimy. Donations in Harold's memory can be made to Kneset Bnei Hagola # 514-738- 5300.

Have just learned of my darling harolds passing....so very sorry, after working with him for over 30 years, we still miss him, among all our philatelic friends.

I've known Harold since 1984 and found him one of the kindest, funniest and most thoughtful people I've ever met. His encyclopedic knowledge of classical music has been a resource for me for 30 years and his off-beat, and strangely beautiful poetry, which he began writing in the 1940's and humorously called his "posthumous files," will always be a treasure. He was a wonderful friend and I'll miss him very much.

I am terribly saddened. He visited us here in Israel a few times, I corresponded with him frequently via email and saw him the last time I was in Montreal. My children loved him very much and enjoyed the car trips we took him on throughout the Galilee.
He also kept in touch with his cousin Chana Elroi (Morton) in Haifa who I informed. She shares in the loss.
He was unique - fascinating, kind, interesting, knowledgeable, wise, and loving. He also had his own special flamboyance and style. My mother called him a "playboy".
He'll be missed and his memory is a blessing to everyone who knew him.

Harold and I were great pals in Outremont are great interest was clasical music I remember his trip to Israel.I have so many memories of our frendship in our youth.
