Joseph ZALCMAN Obituary
On Friday, January 8, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Gitel Burstyn. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Rhona and Fred Abeles of Atlanta, Harvey and Rosalind Zalcman, Pearl and Simcha Kleiman. Cherished and adored Zaida of Jennifer Davidson and Jeffrey Abeles; Robert and Corey Zalcman; Ariella, Jacob, and David Kleiman. Special dear friend of Beatrice Etcovitch. Brother and brother-in-law of the late Morris and the late Sabina Salzman, the late Sam and the late Masha Zalcman. Cousin of the late Mier and the late Anna Zalcman. Predeceased by his siblings who perished in the Holocaust. Special thanks to his caregivers Malou, and Analyn for their exceptional care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Sunday, January 10 at 12 noon. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Kehal Jeshurun Section, de la Savane. Shiva at his daughter's home. Contributions in his memory may be made to the "Joseph Zalcman Holocaust Survivors Memorial Fund" c/o Cummings Centre Foundation, 514-343-3529, ext. 7373.
