Queenie CHAMPAGNE Obituary
On Thursday, April 7, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Edward Champagne. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Susan and Stephen, Charles and Yehudit, Fran and Tony. Cherished grandmother of Kate, Conor, Jonathan, Michelle, Alex and Dakota. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Martin and Tova Sternthal, and the late Judith and Louis Zbarsky. A very special thank you to the staff at Thorne Mill Retirement Residence. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, April 12 at 10 a.m. Burial at the Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, 5015 De La Savane, Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation. The family will receive visitors after the funeral service at their suite at the Hotel Bonaventure, 900 de La Gauchetière between 1 and 4 p.m. Donations in Queenie's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

To my dear friend Fran and her siblings Susan and Charles. I am sorry for your loss. Some of my earlier memories were growing up on Pinedale and often coming over to your house to play with Fran. She was my first friend ever. I remember your mother was always welcoming to me. She would feed us yummy snacks and I think she gave her children freedom to be the unique people you are.
