FRIEDENSTEIN, Sasha
A kind and honorable man, he was the sole surviving member of his family that perished in the Holocaust. On Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Beloved husband of Mollie Borek. Loving father and father-in-law of Marcy and Aaron Dudkiewicz, Judi and the late Sam Chaim. Cherished Zaidy of Steven and Wendy, David and Mara, Brian and Andrew, Matthew, and Kevin. Proud great-grandfather of Sadie, and Ethan. Sasha will be greatly missed by Mollie's children, Robin, and Richard and Linda Rashcovsky; and by their children, Perri, Bradley, and Alyssa. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Tifereth Jerusalem Section, de la Savane. Shiva at 183 Netherwood Cres., Hampstead. In lieu of gifts or flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the "Sasha Friedenstein Memorial Fund" c/o the Montreal Holocaust Museum, (514) 345-2605.
