Andrew GONDA Obituary
Peacefully, on Friday, March 31, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Lia Berkovits. Devoted father of the late Peter. Brother and brother-in-law of the late Dr. Otto and the late Toba Gonda; and brother-in-law of the late Bill and late Helen Biro. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, Susanne Biro Backman and Gisella Mishali, and by his grandnieces, Heather and Barbara Backman. The family would like to thank the staff of 5N at Maimonides Geriatric Centre. Graveside service on Tuesday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m., at the Chevra Shaas Congregation Cemetery (C-11), de la Savane. Donations in his memory may be made to the Donald Berman Maimonides Foundation, (514) 483-2121 ext.: 2207. Arrangements entrusted to Paperman & Sons.

Dr.Gonda was my mother's physician.He was much loved and respected by my family and his patients.I would like to extend my sincere sympathies to his family.

Andrew was one of my first teachers and mentors in Nephrology at the old Royal Vic during my residency in 1965. He was gracious in every way,dedicated to his patients, colleagues and students and a superb clinician. He was much beloved by all and he will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathies to the family.
