Suddenly on Wednesday, July 26, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Beatrice. Loving father and father-in-law of Josh and Donna, Myron, Marla and Michael Mashaal. Cherished Zaidie of Michelle, Chad, Jeremy, Amanda, Stuart, Samantha and Jennifer. Predeceased by his dear siblings and their spouses Issie and Betty Cohen, Harry and Pauline Gerson. Dear brother-in-law of Marvin and Ellen, Herb and Susan Pinchuk. Phil will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. David Langleben and Dr. Peter Lipes for their exceptional care and compassion. Heartfelt thanks to Maria and Marie for their devotion and kindness. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Friday, July 28 at 12:00 noon. Burial at Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Tifereth Jerusalem Section, de la Savane. Shiva at his home. In lieu of gifts or flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the "Phil Cohen Memorial Fund", c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251.
