Alexander Salvador, my loving father; you took me in when times were tough, and you brought me joy, smiles and laughter when life was so happy. How can I convey my gratitude when you made me feel so beautiful my face and clothes - you shared with me that and so much more! How can I extend my love to you? I miss you terribly, your eldest daughter Evelyne Pomerantz.

Dear Alex,

I miss you so much. Your stories your thoughts, your humour.

Alex, every time I think of you I think of everyone I love, of my son.

I think of God how I wish he is, how I feel he's not.

You went away so fast- I'm conscious of my end.

Thank you Alex for caring about me.

I love you and your family.

Not only was Alex a father, he was also a friend, a collegue, a teacher, and a one of a kind man in my life. Through the happy, sad, easy and difficult times, through Holland, Israel, Canada. We travelled many roads, both bumpy and smooth together. Not a day will pass without having Alex in my thoughts. Alex was the bow from which I as one of his children, as a living arrow was sent forth. I loved him, and miss him.

I have learned and applied a lot of Alex's way of life. Always a positive approach to life and work and most important his unconditional passion to his loved ones.

For my beloved Alex this is your legacy.

Man comes forth like a flower and withers, He flees like a shadow which fades....

But, there is hope in a tree, that, if it be cut down, It will sporout again.

It's tender boughs will not cease, though the root grow old in the earth.

Through the scent of water it will bud again, putting forth leaves like a sapling.

Yours Forever Sheila.

Alex's friendly and assuring smile was one of my first memories of Montreal.

Alex, Sheila, and Robin were true friends and family to us for fifteen years, for better or worse, we were always close and God willing we will always be.

May God rest his sole, and give his family and loved ones peace and good health.

Dear Robin and Mrs. Pinto,

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Alex. There is an old saying that goes "When we are dead, seek not our tomb in the earth, but find it in the hearts of men". I did not have the opportunity to know Alex on a personal level, but from what I know about him through Robin, he was a man who will always live in the hearts of those who knew him. My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult moment.
