Aunt Lil was always someone who was very special in my life. I grew up with her always around and cherished the times when I would visit her and Hye at their home on Circle Road. I so enjoyed spending time with them and as a child they would always have treats waiting for me when I would visit. I later found out that they would buy them in anticipation of my brother's and I visiting.
The times I spent with them in St. Agathe at their country house were truly memorable as if it were yesterday. I remember the summer pic nics on the back lawn and learning to water ski on the lake. It was a time of innocence and joy that they shared with everyone who visited.
I remember painting their backyard fence over the summer in 1977. How they would always include me for dinner whenever I was over, sometimes even spending the night when Tony and Andrea (their grand children) came to visit for the weekend.
The most entertaining time at their house was the oh so memorable passover seders'. They always had all the family over and always had an extra seat for guests that I wouldn't see again until the next year's seder such as Murray Yanow and Kid Obley.
Every year on Aunt Lil's birthday I would make it a point wherever I was to call her and wish her a happy birthday, and she was always amazed that I remembered. How could I forget?
Lillian and Hye were truly a memorable couple who will be remembered and missed by all who knew them. May they both rest in peace.

She will be missed by us all, as a grandmother and great-grandmother. We wish we could be with you in Montreal and send you all our love. Here is a picture of Grandma with the boys when we last saw her. We have such happy memories.

I am sad to learn of my Aunt Lil's passing. Today was the 18th. Yahrzeit for her older brother Michael, my father; and the 36th. Yahrzeit of her father Samuel, my grandfather. May G-d grant peace to the family.
