MENDELSON, Rona Lee. Gracefully and with peace, surrounded by her loving family, at sixty-two years old on Thursday, March 22, 2007. Eldest daughter of the late Hyman and the late Gertrude Mendelson. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Karen Gilman and Mark Simenhoff, Lori-Ann Gilman and Richard Alter. Adored Bubby of Halley and Marcy Simenhoff. Beloved soulmate of David McCarthy. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Dr. Sandy and Murray Ages, Simmy and Gail Mendelson. Special niece of Dr. Morton and Sarah Korenberg, Edward and Madeline Mendelson, Dr. Jack and Lola Mendelson, Milton and Claire Friefeld, Ruth and the late Jules Goldstein, the late Seymour Goldstein. She will always be remembered by her nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends. An extra special thanks goes to those who cared for her and touched her heart throughout her illness, especially Dr. Gouttebel, Dr. Klein, the many dear nurses and staff on the 18th and 19th floors at the Montreal General Hospital, and Jo, Zeny, Myla and Chiqui for their genuine friendship and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Sunday, March 25 at 12 noon. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Yehuda Section, De La Savane. Shiva private.
