Janet Louise Stropko, 82, died in the early morning of Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in Clifton, Colorado. She passed while in her husband's arms.
She leaves her adoring husband, Jack; children, Patti, Dave (Robin), and Mary Jane (Michael); grandchildren, Janet (Ben), Timothy, Bradley (Charlotte), Amanda (Alex), Michael (Kerri), and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Aurelia, Alexander, Addilyn, Natalia, Nora, and Jax, and brother, Jim (Rosemary). Janet was preceded in death by brother, George, and sister, Nancy.
Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on July 25, 1938, she met her loving husband, Jack, in the same town and married him on May 3, 1958. In 1961 they moved the family to Southern California where they raised their three children in Lakewood and La Habra. She was active as a parent volunteer in Little League baseball and the Girl Scouts.
Janet and Jack owned the In-Bin, one of the first t-shirt shops in the area. In 1987 they moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ, where they owned and operated The Donut Inn. She and Jack relocated to Clifton, CO, in 2001 to be near Mary Jane, Mike, and their two young children.
Janet's life was dedicated to her family and she showed her love through amazing cooking and baking. She loved sharing family recipes and teaching everyone to cook.
Her funeral will be 5:00 p.m., May 7, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, followed by a Celebration of Life at the home of Mike and Mary Jane.
