Iva Jacobs
February 27, 1953 - January 4, 2019
Iva Jacobs passed away on January 4, 2019, at the age of 65, after a long battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.
Iva is survived by her husband, Gary Jacobs; children, Holly Wing (Shane Wing) and Jodi Jacobs; granddaughters, Shaylynn Wing, Hayleigh Wing, and Lana Towner, and siblings, Randy Burton, Pam Burton, and Dixie Maupin. She is predeceased by her father, Ivan Burton; and her mother, Shirley Burton.
Iva was born in Hoisington, Kansas on February 27, 1953. She worked in the Medical Field for several years. She started working in hospital admissions at St. Mary's Hospital before finding her home at Western Slope Cardiology. She was a loyal employee and worked with them for over 20 years before retiring.
Iva was a devoted wife and mother. She married Gary December 21, 1971. They recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary and would have celebrated many more if given the opportunity.
Iva was blessed with three grandchildren, who were the most important part of her life. She was born to be a grandma and loved her grandkids to the moon and back again. She never missed a volleyball tournament, soccer game, or school performance. Her grandkids were very much loved and supported by their grandma.
Iva was a fan of all things Disney and shared that love with her family. She was able to bring her Grandkids to Disneyland on more than one occasion. Her girls have a lifetime of magical memories of their time spent with her. She will forever be in their hearts.
There are no words to express how amazing Iva was. She was a true beautiful soul and an instant friend to all her were lucky enough to cross her path.
She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.

I knew Iva through working at the cardiology office. She was always funny, thoughtful, worked harder than everyone else and was a true joy to be around. She was loved by staff, doctors and patients and has been missed since she retired. Rest in peace Iva. You will be missed!
