Frank R. Manzano, 91, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2018 in Gunnison, Colorado. Frank led an extraordinary life. He was born on December 14, 1926 in Hurley, New Mexico. Frank was the eldest of seven siblings and was a star basketball player for Hurley High School. Excited to serve his country, Frank enlisted in the U.S. Army during WWII and served as a secretary to General Dwight D. Eisenhower. Following the war, Frank moved his entire family to beautiful, Southern California. Frank worked 22 years for the County of Los Angeles, first as a Deputy County Clerk and then as a Court Clerk. It was there that he met and married the love of his life, Marjorie. Frank and Marjorie were married for 41 loving years and had 3 children together. While working at the County of Los Angeles, Frank attended USC and received a degree in Public Administration. Frank then attended Southwestern University School of Law and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1966. In 1967, Frank began working for the City Attorney's Office in Glendale, California. Frank served as the City Attorney in Glendale for 12 years, from 1977 to 1989. Frank enjoyed Opening Day at Crowley, camping in his motorhome, big game fishing, world travel, flying his Cessna 182 and eating New Mexico Enchiladas at El Sol in La Crescenta, California. Frank was an exceptional man and he will be greatly missed. Frank was preceded in death by his mother, father, six siblings and his beloved wife Marjorie. Frank is survived by his 3 children: Rick Manzano, John Manzano and Linda Manzano-Larsen, 7 grandchildren: Richard Larsen, Robert Larsen, Michael Larsen, Maggie Manzano, Katie Manzano, Harrison Manzano and Dominic Manzano, and his 2 great-grandchildren: Tyler Larsen and Hunter Larsen.
