HAMEL — Randy W. Klenke, 62, of rural Hamel, Illinois area, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.

Randy was born Aug. 14, 1958 in Staunton, Illinois, to Mrs. Martha Klenke & the late Wilmer Klenke.

He married Cheryl Albrecht on March 28, 1981 at Trinity Lutherann Church in Worden, Illinois, & she survives.

Randy was Co Owner & Co Manager of Hamel Seed & Farm Supply in the Hamel-Worden, area for many years.

Randy was also a self-employed farmer.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden, where he was currently serving as Chairman of the Congregation; He also was a Hamel Volunteer Fire Department member, where he was active for over 30 years.

Survivers include his wife, Cheryl Klenke; his mother, Martha Klenke; one son, Daniel (Amber) Klenke; one daugher, Angela (Eric) Byerly; one granddaughter, Addison Byerly; three brothers, Jim (Karen) Klenke, Bob (Ruth) Klenke, and Roger (Lori) Klenke; mother-in-law, Norma Albrecht; brother-in-law, Ron (Kelly) Albrecht; nieces & nephews, Krista (Robert) Twist, Katie (Dave) Nitzsche, Janae (Bryan) Merkle, Aaron (Kristie) Klenke, Andy Klenke, Amanda Klenke, Sarah (Rory) Dibble,Olivia Albrecht, and Katie Albrecht; along with many great-nieces & great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilmer Klenke; brother, Ronald Klenke; and father-in-law, Victor Albrecht.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden.

The service will be Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the church.

Rev. Heath Curtis will officiate.

Interment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Worden.

COVID-19 protocol will be observed during both the visitation period & during the funeral service.

The funeral service will be broadcast on 90.5 FM for those who wish to remain in their cars during the service.

Your car must be in the parking lot of the Church during the service to receive the broadcast over the radio.

Memorials are suggested to either Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden or to the Hamel Volunteer Fire Department.

Williamson Funeral Home, Staunton, is in charge of arrangements.
