SAN ANGELO Jeannette Hopwood, 90, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, in Pioneer Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Grape Creek. Jeannette was born Oct. 1, 1922, to John Joseph Armstrong and Etta Witten Armstrong in Phoenix, Ariz. She grew up in Arizona and always considered it her home. Jeannette was a very generous mother. She had a giving heart and enjoyed doing things for her family and friends. Jeannette was preceded in death by two husbands, Edwin H. Kilsby Jr. and C. Kenneth Hopwood. Jeannette is survived by her son, David Hopwood and wife Anna of Colorado; daughters Marla Farris and husband Martin of San Angelo and their children, M.J. and Sam, Jo Ann Williams and husband Daniel of San Antonio, Linda Hobson of Colorado and Charlotte Nebeker and husband Steve of Utah. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and many, many great-grandchildren.
