Ellen Ann Fuller Obituary
SAN ANGELO Ellen Ann Fuller died a few days short of her 63rd birthday in Phoenix, Ariz. She was born Nov. 10, 1949, in San Angelo, the daughter of John Walter Fuller and Ann Behrend Fuller. She attended San Angelo schools and graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1967. While at Central, she had singing roles in the high school's annual musical productions, including the lead in "Annie Get Your Gun." She was on the All-Region Choir all three years and was one of three Central seniors chosen for the All-State Chorus two years in a row. She was also an officer in several SACHS clubs. Among her academic accolades were her two-year membership in the National Honor Society and the National Council of Teachers of English award. She also won the "Miss San Angelo Teen" competition while in high school. After earning a Bachelor of Music at Texas Tech University, she went on to earn graduate degrees at the University of Texas and Arizona State University. For more than 22 years, she taught for the University of Phoenix in the Colleges of Humanities and Natural Sciences, where she was a faculty member at the time of her death. Her marriage to Dr. Jose Cobas ended in divorce. Survivors include her mother of Eden; and her brother, John William Fuller, of Nashville, Tenn. The family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Progressive Animal Welfare Society at Plans are pending for a celebration of her life in San Angelo and details will be announced on her memorial website,
