Evelyn Howe

Howe, Evelyn 7/4/1933 - 1/1/2015 Saint Cloud, Florida Evelyn Irene Howe began her journey on July 4th, 1933, in Algoma, Michigan. Along the way she left a lasting impression on the lives of her friends, neighbors and community throughout Sparta and Belding. She was known as a hard-worker and a compassionate caregiver who never lacked in making conversation. Her silly sense of humor brought others joy, as did her good cooking and great apple pies. Evelyn impressed us with her ability to put together thousand piece puzzles. The dedication to her family was only matched by her devotion to her faith and getting her hair done. After many years under the Florida sunshine, her journey came to a close on January 1st, 2015. She was embraced at Heaven's door by her loved ones, including her companion Douglas Howe, son-in-law Terry Swanger, and siblings Rose, Elsie, Jess, and Russ. Memorial services are pending in Mchigan. Donations can be made toward a charity of your choice. The memories of her life will be celebrated by her siblings Della Reed, Leon Uplinger, and Ruth Stump; her daughter Rose Swanger, of Florida, grandchildren James and Jennifer Swanger and their children Alexandera, Charlotte, and Riley; Jarred and Jeannine Swanger and their children Devin, Paige, and Xavier; Jonathan and Mia Swanger and their children Kaytriona, Zoe, and Mackenzie; her daughter and son-in-law Lily and Jerry Lake, of Michigan, grandchildren Laura and her child Mallorie; Jessie and Douglas Billings and their children Chloe and Douglas Jr.; Michael and Brandy Lake, of Montana, and their children Ashten, Joel, and Gavin; Jason and Jennifer Lake and their children Kaitlyn, Rachael, Madisyn, and Olivia; Melissa Lake and her children Josephine and Jozlinn, and her youngest grandchild Vanessa Lake. There's never a perfect moment to say goodbye. She'll be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
