Today a dear friend prayed with me about what the bible says “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
On the day of your beautiful Home Going Service I could not say the words that were on my heart. I could not summarize in a two minute remark, a facebook page or a written obituary the journey we shared as Mother and Daughter. Many people make comments to Mothers about their Daughters and comments to their Daughters about their Mothers. Only God knows about their relationships. God Blessed me with so many years with my Mom. She taught me at a early age the sacrifices a mother makes for her children. My Mom was everything God wanted her to be as my mother. Since her passing on to Glory, I know in my heart I was the Daughter God wanted me to be for her. I will miss our shopping trips, vacations, and family gatherings throughout the years. But most of all I will miss our daily conversations filled with laughter, prayers and sometimes tears. My mother loved to listen to the Williams Brothers. One of her many favorites “Living Testimony and God will Deliver”. My Mom is my living Testimony. When God called you home, I could see your smiling face and hear you say “I'm okay". No more sickness, pain and tears. At that moment I know, now you were in the presence of the Lord.
I Love you so dearly, Your Daughter
