Cory, Eileen D. Hudsonville Eileen D. Cory, age 97, a founding Hudsonville family member, second mother, beloved friend, mentor, daughter, and sister, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. She lived a full life and was her own woman. She was a basketball coach at Hudsonville High School, a Girl Scout Leader, and a welder during WWII. She retired from AMI-ROWE after 29 years. Eileen loved dogs, horses, classic cars, sports, especially golf, and playing cards. She could fix anything, and her trunk carried every tool known. She was a self-made woman, patriotic and stubborn in her beliefs. She was a friend to many. Many people passed through her beloved family cottage, Pokegon, where many a child and adult learned to fish, water ski, and play cards. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Marguerite Cory; brothers, Tom Cory, Gene Cory; many cousins. Funeral services have taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice or Harbor Humane Society.

Eileen was a close friend of my family. We spent many summer days at her cottage and indeed on skis behind her boat! She was also an avid photographer and movie maker that celebrated our family activities. I remember her friendly, easy manner and dimpled, infectios laugh. I feel blessed to have known Eileen and will always treasure those warm memories her.

I worked with Eileen at Rowe AMI for many years. she was a great gal and a hard worker. She has been a member of the Rowe retirees club for many years. I was just thinking about her a few days ago and wondering if she got her book. I am president of our club and on behave of all the retirees I extend our deepest sympathy to her family. sincerely Carole Bruursema president Rowe AMI Retirees Club
