Gloria Faye De Jong, age 74, of Grandville, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Marie Hulst; brother, Carl Hulst. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Carl; daughters, Laura Lynne Zuverink, Christine Marie (Jeff) Casemier; five grandchildren; sister, Mary (Mike) Vosovic; Mark Zuverink, sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl (Donley) De Groot, Delmar (Carol) De Jong, Sharlene (Peter) Jouwstra, Alan (Faith Lee) De Jong; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Gloria was a loving, caring, warm wife, mother, and grandmother who never missed any of her kids' or grandkids' events. She loved music and enjoyed singing in the church choir in her younger years. The family would like to recognize and thank the staff of Lemmen Holton Cancer Center and Faith Hospice for the wonderful care given to Gloria during her long struggle with cancer and Crohn's. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Grandville Cemetery with Rev. Jay Pruim officiating. Burial Grandville Cemetery.
